The Challenge:

The project’s aim was to modernise and unite the two dated 1980s office buildings currently on the site.  Therefore, the real challenge for us was to identify a hardworking external paint capable of unifying existing brickwork with new, and an internal sealer coat that delivered an aesthetically pleasing finish to pre-existing concrete soffits.

The Results:

Working to a tight timescale, we stripped existing concrete soffits to a bare finish, including removal of the original fire protection. Before commencing work with a range of products, including Intumescent paint and Dulux Diamond Matt.  The Roseville Projects team completed on time, successfully handing over the 130,000 sq commercial building with works including:

  • external brickwork
  • internal steelwork
  • two new build levels
  • basement
  • cycle storage and lockers
  • office space
  • stairs and reception areas
  • toilets and showers

Mark Stewart, Chief Executive, Roseville Projects Ltd, says: “We’ve been very happy to work on the redevelopment of St Marks and St Matthews House on Shepherdess Walk with Sir Robert McAlpine.  I’m proud to say that our team has successfully transformed 130,000 sq ft of office space with superior-quality finish decoration, helping the SRM project team to dramatically improve the appearance and streetscape of Shepherdess Walk.”
